Chloe, I think we should have a knee hold MOTM sometime. There are various moves you can do from Knee Holds and its something I've just started working on, would love the inspiration!! lol

Er, yay - NOT! I hate knee holds! But I can do a very good Genie, which is odd.

does it help to cross you legs at the back? cos on pole dance dictionary her legs are more splayed!! I had a go of it last night and it just doesnt feel like that bottom knee is doing anything (although the red marks suggest otherwise!) Is the top leg taking most of the weight? Do i push hips forward? and do i need good abs? I was inverting into it (hooking leg over like gemini) rather than side climbing does that make a difference?

I think whether you cross your knees at the back is a preference thing - helps some people, doesn't help others. Pushing your hips forward is extremely important, definitely do that! I started learning it by practicing on the floor - get into position and put a folded up towel or something on the floor underneath your bottom knee so you're not pressing into the floor so hard, and practice taking your top hand off from there, while pushing your hips forward, so you get used to it without the danger of falling far. Then move up the pole!! And yes, you need good abs, which you can build up by practicing on the floor! Don't think it makes a difference if you side climb or invert in - again personal preference

I still cannot do any knee holds except tea pot which doesn't count as u leave an arm attached to pole! So frustrating I can't even do a simple Cupid :0/

I can't so a cupid but I can do Princess which is slightly easier as the leg which stays on the pole stays in the climb position rather than changing to have your foot on the pole
